F**K It Therapy (book review)

Sometime ago I was in a charity shop browsing for books (as I usually do), when I get there I don’t have any particular title in mind. If I find something that I like and seems interesting as a read I will take it. Since I was feeling a bit down in the last few weeks the title of this next book that I’m going to review came to me as a fresh morning slap in the face “F**K it therapy”. As a person that have constant battles with a cursing vs non-cursing behaviour this title broth me back to my younger days as a wild child. 😀

Something in me just couldn’t pass a title like this, even though the cover is not very intriguing and engaging the title compensates a lot. Once I’ve opened it I knew this is exactly for me. It’s a bit hard to explain what type of read is this. Even if I make an attempt the book will scream F**K IT! At me so I won’t even try.

This is the story of the purchase now here is a bit of  information about the “therapy”.

Product Description (From Amazon)

F**k It, it doesn’t matter so much.

If every therapist and psychotherapist on the planet could repeat this to their clients, like a mantra, again and again, there would be fewer therapists and psychotherapists. Because it works. Very quickly. Realising that what you’re worrying about and stressing over doesn’t really matter so much in the grand scheme of things is the door to freedom and healing. And the little profanity ‘F**k It’ is the key to that door. Ask anyone who’s come close to death, or lost someone close to them, or discovered they have a serious disease and they’ll say the same thing: that the little things don’t matter, F**k It… enjoy life in every moment for what it is, not what you want it to be… worry less, live more… remember what’s important and forget the rest.

John and Gaia have taught F**k It Retreats in Italy and around the world since 2005. They have taught thousands of people how to say F**k It: how to ease up, let go, and feel the natural flow in their lives. F**k It Therapy makes available for the first time the process they teach during their week-long retreats. With their six-part process, you are guided through how to deeply relax and let go, then how to carry this out into your life. You find out about the F**k It State and how to access it, you learn the principles of F**k It Training and then discover what F**k It Living really is, and how you can live every moment in a free, relaxed and F**k It way.

What I think of the book:

The book is quite interesting and I highly recommend it, it’s a very fresh blend of psychology, humour, spirituality, meditation, practical knowledge and self-help. I mostly read non-fiction books that are usually on one of the topics that I have mentioned. But I’ve never seen a book that combines them all.

This book will definitely help you if you are working too much and you need to find a way to slow

down, or if you are on the opposite end and you need something to get you started. Quite an easy and cheerful way to live by. It sounds and it seems easy because it is. F**K IT!

The book is around 350 pages so that means that you will have what to read. I use a highlight pen to mark some of the little gems and clever phrases that they have in there, and they have plenty.

The only thing that is lacking in the book is the quality of the cover and the inside pictures and drawings (they are awful) otherwise everything else is brilliant especially the content.
